Caveat: Thinking Out Loud

I intend to "think out loud" on this blog, documenting my personal growth as a digital archivist and as an instructor. As such, some of the posts may be half-baked ideas.

The old saw says, "It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."

Contrawise, I have long believed it's better to share ideas than to remain silent. Sometimes a bad idea can prompt a different train of thought, another approach, and different way of seeing the problem at hand. I'm often the first to question my own ideas, and I'm happy to adopt better ideas. Posts should be read as the beginning of a dialog. Every post should be read as a question as much as an assertion.

Finally, an unsurprising disclaimer.  This blog represents my own opinions and experiences.  Often post may relate to my work in the Master of Archival Studies Program at Clayton State University.  However, these posts do not necessarily reflect the official opinions or policies of the University.
